NC(V): Primary Agriculture (L2 - L4)

The course is design to teach the student the broad principles regarding farming activities such as animal-and soil production, as well as how to run the farm as a business.

Admission Requirements

For admission into NC(V) programmes students must pass an NQF level 1 qualification in one of the following ways:

  • Grade 9
  • AET Level 4
  • General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)
  • the use of RPL assessment programme to determine equivalence to NQF Level 1, and
  • PLP results

In order to ensure success and completion of the programmes, the College has, in terms of this policy, and in line with A Guideline for Additional Admission Requirements to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College Programmes made provision for Programme-specific additional requirements as stipulated in the table below:

One group in Level 2 will do Mathematics (Group A) – Must have obtained > 50% for Mathematics

Duration

  • This qualification takes three years to complete.
  • Each of the levels 2, 3 and 4 will take one-year full time.
  • Every level of study carries 130 credits.
